TOP DOG AGILITY – STANDARD

The points for the ARC Top Dog Agility Awards for Standard and Jumpers With Weaves competitions are based on class placements and wins at AKC licensed trials from January 1 through December 31, as reported in the AKC Rottweiler Award Report. There are six levels of awards: Novice Standard, Open Standard, Excellent/Master Standard, Novice Jumpers with Weaves, Open Jumpers with Weaves, and Excellent/Master Jumpers with Weaves. Regular and Preferred classes are combined at each level. The points are calculated as follows:

Placement: The dog must place in its class. Points are awarded for each dog defeated in the class. For example, a dog that placed second in a class with 15 entries will be awarded 13 points.

High in Trial and Reserve High in Trial: HIT and Reserve HIT are awarded points only on Armetale Day at the ARC National Specialty. Points are calculated by subtracting one point (two points, in the case of Reserve HIT) for the total number of dogs competing in Standard and Jumpers with Weaves.

A dog must have a minimum of 5 points to be listed in the Final Top Dog Awards.

TOP DOG AGILITY – JUMPERS WITH WEAVES

The points for the ARC Top Dog Agility Awards (Standard & Jumpers With Weaves) are based on class placements and wins at AKC licensed trials from January 1st through December 31st, as reported in the AKC Rottweiler Award Reports. There are 6 levels of awards: Novice Standard; Open Standard; Excellent/Master Standard, Novice Jumpers with Weaves; Open Jumpers with Weaves; Excellent/Master Jumpers with Weaves, with Regular & Preferred classes being combined at each level. The points are calculated as follows:

PLACEMENT The dog must place in a class, then 1 point is counted for each dog defeated in the class, i.e. if a dog was 2nd in a Novice Preferred 20″ class that had 15 entries, the dog would earn 13 points (15 total class entries minus 2 (1st place dog & dog itself).

HIGH IN TRIAL This is counted at the ARC National Specialty – Armetale Day ONLY. A HIT win is calculated as minus 1 point from the shows total entry (Standard – Regular & Preferred and Jumpers With Weaves – Regular & Preferred Classes only) as listed in the AKC Rottweiler Award Reports. The winner’s name of this award will be taken from the ARC National Specialty Supplement.

RESERVE HIT This is counted at the ARC National Specialty – Armetale Day ONLY. A Reserve HIT win is calculated as minus 2 points from the shows total entry (Standard – Regular & Preferred and Jumpers With Weaves – Regular & Preferred Classes only) as listed in the AKC Rottweiler Award Reports. The winner’s name of this award will be taken from the ARC National Specialty Supplement.

A dog must have a minimum of 5 points to be in the Final Top Dog Awards.

AGILITY – FAST & TIME 2 BEAT

The American Rottweiler Club does not calculate statistics for the Agility FAST or Time2 Beat Classes. These classes will not be eligible for either the High In Trial or Reserve High In Trial at the ARC National Specialty, nor will the number of entrants be used to calculate the total number of entries for the High In Trial and Reserve High In Trial awarded to Agility – Regular and/or Jumpers with Weaves.
