ABOUT THE AMERICAN ROTTWEILER CLUB
The American Rottweiler Club (ARC) was formed in 1973 to promote the health tested and cleared reproduction of the Rottweiler as well as protect them as a breed. ARC is the Parent Club for the Rottweiler with the American Kennel Club, and the umbrella for all other AKC-affiliated Rottweiler clubs. ARC “owns” and maintains the Rottweiler standard (the official breed description) here in the United States.
All ARC members must keep to a high standard of humane ownership and husbandry, as well as exhibit a good attitude in all activities, including sportsmanship, helping others and volunteering at events. ARC members who are breeding must adhere to our Mandatory Practices in their breeding programs. We feel we are responsible for presenting the Rottweiler in the best possible light.
