American Rottweiler Club Futurity

The ARC Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Nestle Purina will again sponsor the ARC Futurity. Nestle Purina provides a beautiful trophy (statue of a sire, dam and pups) to the Breeder of Best in Futurity each year. This custom made trophy cannot be purchased, and it is the futurity winners' to keep.

ARC member/breeders that nominate a litter will select the judge(s) from the ARC Sweepstakes Judges List for the next year's Futurity. There will be one vote per nominated litter, regardless of the number of breeders of record.

What the Purina Futurity Alliance means to the ARC

  1. The ARC will receive a donation of $10.00 for every litter that qualifies for Purina Alliance Funds.
  2. Purina will donate $2.00 to ARC for each puppy from qualifying litters, once the individual puppy is nominated for ARC Futurity competition.
  3. Each puppy that qualifies for participation in the Purina Alliance, enters in the ARC futurity competition, and earns its AKC Conformation championship title will also earn an additional $10.00 donation by Purina to the ARC Targeted Project.
  4. If the breeder of the nominated champion's litter is an active Purina Pro Club member who redeems weight circles, Purina will make an additional donation to ARC Targeted Project equal to 10% of weight circles point accrual (up to $20,000 annually for all Alliance participants.)
  5. Any Alliance monies earned through litter nominations, puppy nominations and Purina Pro Club will be released to ARC only after the puppy (and, by extension, litter) is entered in the ARC Futurity program.
  6. All donations will be provided by Purina to ARC on an annual basis.

The ARC Board of Directors has revised the ARC Furturity Rules. These rules will go into effect with the 2011 Futurity. The 2010 Futurity will be held on April 21, 2010 so any dog born on or after 10/22/09 will be eligible for the 2011 Futurity. We also have a change of Chairman, again effective with the 2011 Futurity.
