ARC Bylaws and Mandatory Practices Revisions Ballot Results

Dear ARC Board and Membership

In accordance with the ARC Bylaws Article VIII. SECTION 5:

The Constitution and Bylaws, the Standard for the Breed and the ARC Mandatory Practices may be amended provided the requirements outlined in Article VIII, SECTIONS 1, 2, or 3 have been fulfilled before a ballot is mailed. The Secretary shall mail to each member in good standing on the date of mailing, a ballot on which he may indicate his choice for or against the action to be taken. The notice shall specify a date not less than 30 days after the date of mailing by which date the ballots must be returned to the Secretary, Certified Public Accountant or Parliamentarian to be counted. The favorable vote of 2/3 of the members in good standing who return valid ballots within the time limit shall be required to effect any such amendments.

The voting concluded on June 12, 2010. The following is the official tally of votes which were counted and certified on June 13, 2010 by the ARC Secretary.

Bylaws Revisions:

• Article III, Section 2. 227 Approved 41 Against Revision has passed.
• Article III, Section 4 252 Approved 18 Against Revision has passed.
• Article IV, Section 2 263 Approved 7 Against Revision has passed.

Mandatory Practices Revisions:

• Section 3. 2. 247 Approved 23 Against Revision has passed.
• Section 3. (to be inserted as # 5) 213 Approved 58 Against Revision has passed
• Section 3.5. Revision wording did not receive a 2/3 vote to approve either option, therefore the wording shall remain the same as provided in the Mandatory Practices, amended as of 7-15-09.
• Wording of Proposal #1 92 Approved 156 Against
• Wording of Proposal #2 160 Approved 94 Against
• Ten member’s ballots on this section only were declared invalid due to voting YES for both proposed wording options.
• Two ballots were received without printed names or signatures and were declared invalid.
