Results of the Dues Ballot and Survey Results sent to membership are as follows:


DUES BALLOT RESULTS

The membership approved the dues increase per the recent ballot:

“I approve the Board's proposed $10 increase in membership dues to: $40 Single; $55 Family (for 2 members - each additional member would remain at $15 each). Associate dues are the same as Single/Family; Seniors are 50% of Single/Family.”

Increase in dues is in effect as of April 4, 2009.

SURVEY RESULTS

Included on the ballot was the following survey question:

“If the ARK were to be available as a PDF File on the ARC "Members Only" section of the ARC website, and a $5 surcharge were implemented in order to continue to receive the ARK via U.S. Mail, what would you do?”

Members were given 3 options:

1. Opt to view ARK on website - 93
2. Pay $5 surcharge to continue to receive via U.S. Mail - 141
3. Discontinue Membership - 19

Total Responding to Survey - 253

Note: several people responded 'yes' to more than one survey question and several did not respond to the survey.

Several members also added notes and comments. The Board will address these comments in a general letter after the National Specialty is concluded.

On the 2009/2010 Dues Renewal Form, members will be given the option to view the ARK on the “Members Only” section of the ARC website, rather than receive a copy via U.S. Mail.
